About Me

My childhood was spent bouncing around between California, Florida and Utah. I went to five elementary schools, all in different cities. My parents referred to it as "character building". Yeah, whatever.
Eventually my family found a place to settle down. That's where I went to college, married and had my children. All in Salt Lake City, Utah. Not exactly the ideal climate for a California girl, but with frequent visits to Newport Beach, I somehow manage.
Back in the dark ages (you know, before cell phones), I went to Westminster College and earned my B.A. in International Business. Say wh-at? Not Creative Writing or English? Aren't authors supposed to have a degree in one of those areas to get published? Well, maybe that's the reason I'm not published yet! Ha ha. But seriously, I chose International Business because I'm obsessed with foreign places and people. That's still true today, especially in my writing. Most of my books feature international settings.
For a few years post-college I dabbled in international marketing, but now I have the two best careers in the world. I get to stay at home with my children AND write books. Presently neither of them pays much (though an "I love you" from my kids feels like a million bucks), but that could change one day. Maybe my kids will start paying ME to be their mom. Yeah, I think not. But how cool would that be? Uh oh, another book idea is taking shape right now!
Some of my other interests include running, exercising, hiking, gardening, traveling, reading, shopping and the list goes on...
